Let’s get uncomfortable!
Sharing my Blue Unicorn story was a little scary. Anyone can read it and judge me. But by making myself uncomfortable and deciding to just put it out there, I now feel empowered to do more. As I have said before, you have to take action, even if it’s small steps, in the direction of your dreams.
What happens is that the Universe then starts to align to help you, because I believe the Universe is loving and creative and will bring you exactly what you need WHEN you are ready for it. And a big part of your small actions is that they convince YOU that you can achieve those dreams. So by creating a blog and sharing ideas in my head I have proven to myself that I can do it. And as more people read my posts and start following my blog, I believe that it’s worth my time and that I am creating some good in the world. So hopefully these small step them encourage me to take larger and larger steps.
A baby falls down thousand and thousands of times when learning how to walk. Can you imagine if a baby stumbled only 100 times and just gave up learning to walk all together? We’d live in a world of people crawling on the floor and only a few people walking upright. My daughter finally got up and walked the day the cat at Papa’s house walked by her and she wanted to pet it. Her goal was petting that cat, and she went for it.
The greatest inventors and entrepreneurs have failed over and over and over again, but because they never gave up we now have light bulbs, and cars, and bag-less vacuums! So challenges and failures are just steps that get us closer to our goals. Failure isn’t fun. Muscles aren’t built by sitting on the couch. Challenges are a part of life and growing; learning to embrace the challenges and change how you feel about them is the key to success.
What are you stumbling towards? How many times have you tried to walk? What cat are you chasing? Don’t give up, keep taking action, do something every day, and know that the Universe is just waiting for you, ready to step in and help.
-> The photo above is from the Daily Burn DB 365 Community Group, which is where I got the title for this blog. It’s not easy to get up and work out 365 days a year, but I do it. I challenge myself everyday, and it has paid off. I’m in the best shape of my life, and I still fail at pushups everyday, but I keep challenging myself. And maybe, just maybe, someday I will do a full pushup!
