I created an acronym for the word “glow” many years ago – Giving Love Out Willingly. The idea was that by being an anchor for loving vibration everywhere you go, you are glowing so brightly that your soul is lighting the way for other souls to see. I have found over and over in my life that at times when I feel most loving and authentic and alive is when I tend to attract more people into my life. Even if for a brief exchange at the grocery store, I will attract people that perhaps needed a bit of light in their life. Sometimes it’s friends reaching out for advice. Sometimes it’s the person just stopping to ask me a question or make a comment about my hair or appearance. Holding that positive energy around me creates a safe place where people can come for illumination.
Can you remember a time in your life when you felt super loving and happy? Did you notice that you would attract more attention or suddenly have more people reaching out to you? Our energy is such a powerful tool. It’s one the the greatest things we can use to change the world, even if it’s just one person at a time. If you can radiate love and hold that frequency, you are literally lifting up everyone around you, even if they don’t speak to you at all. It’s a big reason I felt that I was drawn to marketing. I needed to get my glow out into the world. I’ve been around tens of thousands of people all around the US and the world. I was in NYC on the 10th anniversary of 9/11, and I felt drawn to just walk miles though the city radiating love and smiling at people. It was so powerful. I’ll never know the effect that my loving energy has had on the people that I’ve been near, but I know there was an effect. We are only just beginning to understand how thoughts can create things.
And the more often you can glow, the brighter you will glow. So your area of glow expands and reaches more and more people. And when your loving energy meets another person’s loving energy, that energy combines and increases the glow even more. I know it might sound a little “woo woo” to some of you if you haven’t really studied the science behind energy work, but going around spreading some love isn’t the worst idea you’ve heard I’m sure! My favorite thing to do when I feel my energy is down is just silently say the word “love” as I pass each person. I’ve done it many times while stressed that I’m running late and traffic has me frustrated. I look over to each car and say “love” in my head and direct it towards the drivers around me. I swear to you, it has worked out every time that I somehow ended up arriving exactly when I needed to, even if it was a few minutes later than I had wanted to arrive.
If you have the gift of the glow, then you should share it! Don’t be afraid to send love out to strangers. Heck, send it out to the trees, the animals, the clouds, and even of course yourself! Everything around you is energy, and you will attract to you what you give out, so start glowing like crazy and see what you can attract into your life. Light the way for others, because I can tell you the world could really use a lot more love right now. Next time I run into any of you reading this, I hope you are shining bright like a diamond! And even if our paths never cross, know that I am glowing so bright that I’m helping to light up the way for you.
