I Am Enough

There are few statements more powerful for changing your life than I am enough. World-renowned author and hypnotherapist, Marissa Peer, uses it as the foundation of her work. She’s worked with some of the most famous and rich people around the world, and she says you would be shocked to know how many of them still struggle with the belief of I am enough. No amount of money, or great relationship, or dream job will make you happy if you don’t believe that you are enough.

Competition and comparison start at an early age. We learn early on in school or even within our own family that we can be less than what someone expected of us. These lessons become part of our often unconscious psyche before we even know it. These limiting beliefs can leave us feeling that nothing will ever be good enough and lead to many issues with money, relationships, and our health. Using the mantra of I am enough helps us break through those limitations and start accepting ourselves as we are. Once we feel safe and accepted again (very necessary to keep our lizard brains happy) then we can start to see positive changes in our lives.

I still believe that learning to love myself when I was not as fit or healthy was the first step in really embracing the changes needed to make that jump in lifestyle. Six years ago I would have never imagined that I could ever become someone who would look forward to exercising and in fact even work out multiple times a day! Last weekend I had a big breakthrough on a limiting belief about abundance and realized that I am enough right now in my career. I can’t compare my situation now to where I was a year ago before the pandemic. I can’t judge myself based on what my father expected me to be when I grew up. I can appreciate where I am now. I can appreciate that my income doesn’t reflect my actual worth. I can love myself for being right where I need to be right now. I took off that pressure of not being enough, and now I have surrounded it with a positive outlook which is bound to attract more positive changes.

Where do you think you are not enough? What limiting beliefs are you allowing in your mind? Can you accept that you are enough, right now, right as you are? The more you can embrace the fact that you are enough, the more you can change your life! Write the mantra where you will see it- on your bathroom mirror, place post-its that say I am enough on your refrigerator, in your car, on your door to leave the house, next to your bed, or you can use it as the screensaver on your phone and computer. The more you see it and say it in your head and aloud, the more likely you are to start to believe it. You can quite literally retrain your brain through repetition. Your brain awaits your command, so it will create a version of you that is enough and stop trying to overcome your fear of not being enough.

If you need help believing that you are enough, I’m here for you! I can see the awesome inside of you. I can see the potential in you. I can see that you are enough, right now as you are.
